The question isn't really could Samsung ever take Apple down, it's has Samsung already done so?
As of 2012 Samsung and Apple are the only profit making
smart phone producers globally, sharing 101% of profits.
In 2012 Samsung was confidently outpacing Apple on:
1. Total reported revenue of USD 183.5bn vs.
Apple USD 156.5bn
2. Total headcount, outperforming Apple almost
by 100%.
3. Total research and advertising spending,
...R&D investment almost 3 times higher vs. Apple
...investing same as Coca Cola into Advertisement
4. Although Samsung outperformed Apple on smartphones sales and overal shipments pace of growth, Apple still reported 43% greater profit vs. its competitor.
5. In 2012 Apple was a confident leader of consumers hearts, ranking 1st for smartphone loyalty, BUT being outpaced by Samsung this year!
